You’ll work on the build, repair and modification of mining and industrial equipment, with the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of interesting projects. What’s On Offer Competitive hourly rates based on experience Consistent, long-term workshop work Monday–Friday role with optional Saturday overtime Well-equipped workshop environment Variety of mining and industrial equipment projects Supportive, straight-talking team culture Perth-based role – home every night What You’ll Be Doing Fitting, assembling and installing custom truck bodies and mechanical components Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults Carrying out routine inspections and maintenance on mining support equipment Working closely with boilermakers, tradespeople and supervisors to deliver quality builds Assisting with commissioning, testing and final fit-out of bespoke equipment Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and safety ✅ What We’re Looking For Australian trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter Experience in heavy industry, mining, manufacturing or similar environments Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Reliable, safety-focused and team-oriented attitude Current driver’s licence and reliable transport Bonus Points (Not Essential) Forklift ticket HR driver’s licence Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets Welding or boilermaker experience Experience with hydraulic systems or mobile plant equipment About Ox Engineering Ox Engineering is a Perth-based fabrication and engineering company delivering quality solutions to the mining and industrial sectors.
